I’m fascinated by tilt-shift photography, accomplished with lenses (and sometimes Photoshop and other software effects) that limit the depth of field in the image. This limited focus can make us all look like toys. Here’s a good overview with links to tutorials.
This video by Sam O’Hare, shot at the Coachella festival in California, uses this technique with time-lapse photography and booms to give it motion. It’s really incredible stuff.
